ABOUT: I'm Khimonna, the founder of Tudorave.com. Tudor Ave is a very special place. It's where I lived the first 10 years of my life, attended elementary school, joined church, and spent countless hours exploring. It was my world! There I learned the importance of family, faith and friendship. My grandmother lived on Tudor Ave. She and my great-grandmother, who lived around the corner, have everything to do with the woman I am today. Their guidance and love, at a young age, made me feel I could do anything! Their teachings have carried me throughout my life. They are my foundation. That nurturing upbringing helped me to embrace my blessings and unique talents, as well as my nurturing spirit. I would be remiss not to share that part of myself with the world!
I am the Tudor Ave Woman! I've worked very hard in my career and gained skills that have set me apart from the rest. I "mastered" Marketing, I continue to sharping my tools on a regular basis in Real Estate, and I occasionally have the opportunity to pick up my camera and capture a beautiful moment in time. While, I'm proud of my achievements, I'm even more proud and excited about the blessing of my sweet little family. I have an opportunity to be a supportive spouse, a loving mom and a fabulous home-maker! There is nothing more gratifying to me than creating a home filled with love and beauty, that "rises up to greet us", as Oprah says, when we enter or the smiles on their faces when I create a delicious meal that they can't get enough of. That's the icing on my cake!
Like so many women who have spent many years focusing on themselves and their careers, I'm trying to find that important balance that comes with being a home-maker and a professional, now that I have a family of my own. The balance is possible. Keep in mind, it's OK to solicit a little help. I look to other resources to help me and I want to pass those on to you, as well as my personal wisdom. It takes a village, right! Let's be fabulous, in our homes, together!
